FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the boat depart from?

The boat leaves from our lagoon-side dock at Harbor Place North in Placencia. CLICK HERE FOR A MAP!

What time does the boat leave?

Day Sail & Snorkel trips depart at 9:30am.

Sunset Sip & Sail departs at either 4PM or 4:30PM depending on the time of year.

When does the boat return?

Day Sail & Snorkel returns around 3PM. Sunset Sip & Sail returns after sunset. We would not recommend booking another activity too close to either time. Relax and enjoy your time!

What is included?

Day Sail & Snorkel includes sailing, guided snorkeling using our quality snorkeling gear, tasty lunch, rum & vodka drinks including famous rum punch, juices, some sodas, drinking water, all taxes and fees.

Sunset Sip & Sail includes sailing, appetizers, wine, beer, famous rum punch, all taxes and fees.

We also strive to provide good music and great company on every trip.

What should we bring?

You'll want to wear a swimsuit and bring reef-safe sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, towel, sun protection like a rashguard, and good vibes.

Some people like to bring a camera, a book, extra snacks, and/or an insulated travel mug or reusable water bottle.

Please do not plan to use spray-on sunscreen, as it makes the boat very slippery.

Where will we snorkel?

We typically sail out to the Lark Caye Range, Bugle Cayes, Scipio, Colson, Logger Head or Saddle Caye. We want to make sure you have a great time so we go to sites that are calm with reef life and fish. All of them are within the barrier reef and within an hour or so. The exact destination depends on weather, wind, and recent ocean conditions. We do not sail to Silk Cayes.

What boat will sail on?

We sail aboard either Punchy or Lill.

"Punchy" is a Louisiane Catamaran reaching over 12 meters in length. There are two large double cabins complete with private heads. The galley is complete with refrigerator and is sufficient to seat 8. The front trampoline is great for relaxing under the sails. A very stable platform limits the boats heel and can be expected to sail at 8-9 knots.  We are able to accommodate large groups aboard but try to limit the number to 10 for charters when booking multiple groups.

Lill is an 8 meter catamaran with a cruising speed of 5 to 7 knots. She has a small cabin including a head, galley, and berths for five. The deck has plenty of space to move around and we have cushions on the seats and room to get out of the sun. Maximum capacity for day trips is 10.
